Makapu'u Beach. Views to the bottom of Manana Island. O'ahu. The next morning the bus number 22 leaves me near Makapu'u Beach, at the eastern end of the island. This is a much more rugged coastline surrounded by lush greenery and is attended by the most daring surfers. The views, with background Manana Island, are superb, so much so that some fashion photographers decide to use it to magnify decorated their models. From the viewpoint of Makapu'u, a sand road leads me to the lighthouse, a magical space surrounded by cacti and views that cut hiccups. Another lovely place which is also accessible by bus Hale'iwa City is a hippie haven invaded by surfboards, reggae, and the colors of the rainbow. Of course, I left the town without tasting ice cream at Matsumoto's, the most famous ice cream around here.
