Sea kayaks next to cruise ship Safari Endeavour near Reid Glacier in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska, USA. All of our trips use double kayaks... for multiple reasons. This is Alaska, and the water is very cold and the weather can be quite changeable. Doubles are much more stable than singles, and allow us to take out paddlers of various abilities. Plus, having two people in the boat is great if the wind picks up or someone gets tired! They're also faster boats, so you can see more of the coastline during your trip. We do not offer kayak rentals - only guided trips. There are so many factors to be aware of when paddling in this area, and we feel it will be a better, and potentially safer, experience with a local guide. Your guide will be with you for your entire trip.
